ABOUT MMG

The original brokerage started in 1957, as Neil Main Insurance, from his home in Pelham. Cam Mudie purchased the brokerage from Neil Main in 1986 and moved the business to Haist St. in Fonthill where he continued to grow the brokerage. In 1994, he sold the business to Mario Mannella, Mike Gowan and Sue Napper. The current owners added to the name and called it Main Mudie Gowan & Associates Insurance Brokers. Months after purchasing the business, it was moved to its current location, 1161 Pelham Road. Mario Mannella sold his shares in the business in 2007 but continues to work on a part-time basis.  

Sue Napper retired in 2020 with Mike Gowan owning 100% of the business. 
 
All of our full time employees have obtained their RIBO license and many of them have their CAIB and CIP designation. We are constantly continuing to keep ourselves educated with the current issues affecting the insurance industry to better serve our clients. 
 
We are involved in many of the local and provincial charities such as Autism Ontario and Chair of the annual golf tournament for the local Chapter, Vice President of the local Niagara South Brokers Association. Mike has been president of Welland Pelham Community Living and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Welland, Pelham and Port Colborne. We actively participate in collecting food for Pelham Cares; we canvass for the Heart & Stroke Society, The Kidney Foundation and the Diabetes Association. We financially support our local hospital.
